Ingredients
175g chopped dark chocolate
175g butter
200g muscovado sugar
3 eggs
175g plain flour
¼tsp baking powder
25g cocoa powder
150g macadamia nuts/walnuts/hazelnuts roughly chopped
Method
- Preheat the oven to 180º (if using a fan assisted oven preheat to 160º)
- Place the chocolate and butter in a saucepan over a low heat and stir until smooth.
- Place the sugar, eggs, flour, baking powder and chocolate mixture into a bowl and combine.
- Stir in the nuts and pour the mixture into a square 23cm or 23×28cm cake tin that has been lined with baking paper.
- Bake for 40-45 minutes or until set

Leave to cool in the tin.
